Hello, I am Eloise Rawling and welcome to my site.
I was born in Surrey but moved to Scarborough in 2008 following my husband's retirement. His family were from Scarborough and we have traced them back to Longwestgate in the 18th century. They owned and managed the bathing machines on the North and South sides in the late 1890’s and his grandpa owned Rawling’s rock shop on the Foreshore from 1918 to 1975. We have been made to feel very welcome since we returned to this wonderful coast.
My love of photography started at birth but only flourished when we moved here. I love to photograph most things that catch my eye and with the light up here it is easy to take pictures all day every day. My favourite subjects are landscapes, seascapes, in fact everything within the local area of Scarborough. One of my absolute favourites (and I have a few) are the North Bay beach huts. To be honest, I always have a camera with me when we go out, even just to the shops.
I am a member of an on-line American photography group and have been fortunate to receive several awards for my images. I do not use Photoshop or other tools to enhance my photos.
I use DSLR cameras because the quality is so sharp and I prefer this way to showcase my photos. I hope you enjoy them.
